My name is Henk de Bie. born in 1945 the Netherlands (Holland) as the eldest son of the de Bie-de Jongh couple. My interest in history stems from the time when I stayed with my grandparents de Jongh-Hees as a child and found all kinds of family documents there in an old wooden box, including a notebook with a genealogy de Jongh and de Brauw written by my great-grandfather C.A. de Jongh

Since my retirement I have intensified my research of the family history and made a website to better share my data.

The English version at the moment is mainly focused on the English speaking part of the family Schattenkerk and their descendants in Australia but in time may be extended to other international parts of the family.
