Explanation: Letters written in French dated the 19th of June 1850 from the Duke Charles Bernhard von Saksen Weimar-Eisennacht to Coenraad Alexander de Jongh. The Duke finally sees an oppertunity to make the long promissed visit to the house of Coenraad Alexander in Samarang.

Specifics: Weltevreden = Meaning "Well content" was a community for the well to do, 12 km South-East of the centre of Batavia. The name is derived from an 18th cenury estate of Govenor general Petrus Albertus van der Parra.
